Position: Rigger

Location: Kawerau and Taupo regions, New Zealand

Job Description: We're currently seeking an experienced Rigger to join our dynamic team. As a Rigger with us, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient lifting, positioning, and securing of heavy materials and equipment. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Performing rigging tasks according to project plans and specifications.
• Selecting and inspecting rigging gear such as slings, cables, and hooks.
• Safely setting up and operating rigging equipment.
• Coordinating lifts effectively with crane operators and team members.
• Maintaining high safety standards and adhering to company policies and industry regulations.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Rigger, ideally with experience in steel erection or similar heavy construction projects.
• Certification in rigging and rigging gear inspection, including recognized tickets from New Zealand (e.g., Crane Association of New Zealand) and Australia.
• Strong understanding of rigging techniques, equipment, and safety protocols.
• Ability to interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to teamwork.
