We are currently recruiting for a competent fabricator for high-end metal work. 

Our client are a locally owned and operated metalwork firm that specialise in high-end architectural jobs. This role is solely focussed on metalwork fabrication including gates, balustrades, stairs and other bespoke projects.

Our client has an excellent reputation around the wider Christchurch region for their level of craftmanship and care. If successful you will be joining a small, tight-knit team with a fantastic work culture. 

Key tasks:

• Read and understand all drawings
• Metalwork fabrication
• Welding: MIG Solidwire and Flux Core, TIG Stainless and Aluminium
• Working to high standards and tight deadlines
• Potential site work could be required 

Skills & attributes required:

• Ideally hold a trade qualification or 5+ years of relevant work experience
• Ability to work unsupervised and complete jobs from start to finish alone
• Ability to fabricate accurately from drawings
• Excellent math and trigonometry skills
• High level of attention to detail
• Team player
