We're seeking a Class 2 driver/labourer to assist with essential maintenance and repairs on water and wastewater systems in Palmerston North. This is a temporary position with an immediate start, with the possibility of long-term work for the right candidate.

The Role

As a labourer, you'll be part of a team ensuring the upkeep and functionality of stormwater and wastewater systems. Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting with the maintenance and repair of water networks to a high standard.
• Driving a Class 2 vehicle 
• Operating and handling tools and plant machinery safely.
• Pipe laying, jointing, and installation of chambers and fittings by hand or machinery.
• Monitoring system performance and addressing maintenance needs.

Days and Hours

Monday - Friday, 7:00 am - 4:30 pm (end times may vary based on workload).

Occasional weekend or after-hours on-call work may be required.

What We're Looking For

• Experience with civil works is ideal.
• A Class 2 driver's license (Class 4/5 and WTR endorsements are a bonus).
• A strong work ethic and ability to work well in a team.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug test and Ministry of Justice background check.
